Scotland is part of the United Kingdom, along with England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and has a rich and varied cultural diversity.

Scotland has a number of geographic regions, each with its own qualities, industries, characteristics and breath-taking scenery. The larger Scottish cities include Glasgow, Edinburgh (the capital city), Aberdeen, Dundee, Inverness and Stirling.

Scotland recently re-acquired its own devolved government – The Scottish Executive.
